7. What about non-profit and charitable edvents?
If your organization satisfies the following two conditions, you may be eligible to add your edvents to our database absolutely free:
1. Your organization is non-profit
2. Your edvent is free
If your organization is non-profit, but you don't satisfy the second requirement, we may still be able to offer you free or greatly discounted rates. We are passionate about promoting educational events throughout Chicagoland!
8. How do people find edvents.com?
The whole purpose for our existence is to connect people with local educational opportunities. So making people aware of the resource is our most important task.
Here are the efforts we have made or are making to drive people to OneStopSeminars.com:
1) Highly optimized website design. Each page and each event listing is indexable by all of the major search engines.
2) Online marketing and advertising. We are listed in many online directories, and advertise through search engines to be found more easily.
3) Partnerships. We partner with non-profit organizations and donate our efforts to help them spread the word about their events, and they let their patrons know about our resource.
4) Promotions. From time to time we have membership drives to encourage users of the site to tell their friends. These are usually creative ideas and vary considerably.
